Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PlayLab AS, a company registered in Norway (“Reviewopia”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Reviewopia (the “Service”). We are the data controller for your account information. Where you use the Service to process reviews and end-user data on your website, you are the controller and we act as your processor.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name, which we store securely using our hosting and authentication provider.

Billing information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details; we retain a customer identifier from that processor and your subscription status and plan.

Review and widget content

We store the widgets you create and the reviews you add manually or import from third-party review platforms you connect. Imported reviews may include reviewer names, profile photos, ratings, review text, dates, and links, as made available by the source.

Usage and technical data

We and our infrastructure providers process technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver, secure, and cache the Service, including when a widget is loaded on your website.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including creating widgets and syncing reviews.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and service-related notices.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service and process billing); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); your consent where required; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Service providers (subprocessors)

We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf, under appropriate agreements, in the following categories:

  • Cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers — to run the Service and store your data.
  • Payment processing providers — to handle subscriptions and billing.
  • Content delivery and caching providers — to serve the embeddable widget.
  • Review data providers — to retrieve reviews from the third-party platforms you choose to connect.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public. A current list of the specific providers we use is available on request at the contact below.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Data retention

We retain account, widget, and review data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a widget, its reviews are deleted with it. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@muazam.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls at the database level. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
